The Project’s Beginnings
Driven as much by conviction as by love at first sight, Benoit carefully restored the abandoned barns between 2006 and 2014, carrying out renovations that respected their architectural heritage and reusing the original materials.
Here, every detail reflects a philosophy: that of rediscovered authenticity. Beneath their intact silhouettes as century-old barns, the buildings conceal a true feat of engineering: dismantled and then rebuilt stone by stone to optimize insulation techniques, they blend modern comfort with respect for heritage. The windows blend discreetly into the wood without ever detracting from the façade; the balconies open generously onto the panorama; and every architectural line seems as though it has always been there.
Inside, larch wood envelops the rooms in natural warmth, without artifice or excess. Here, there are no screens to distract the eye, no curtains to block the view: only the essential matters—this alpine landscape that stands out as the true decoration.
